There are many theories. Some better than others.
Some from the words leasing epidemiologists, medical journals, infectious disease experts, and professional public health officials worldwide.
They have a much better idea of what is behind the numbers than you do.
In fact, what are you saying? That covid deaths are miscalculated. Hospitalizations too? By how much?

what i am saying is there is no way you can get an accurate number of deaths from this virus alone. all you can do is compare the death rates on every individual day from the last 20 years to the present to try to figure out an inaccurate total death count and then guess how many of those deaths actually were 100% attributed to the virus.. there is some number, just not an accurate one.
it really goes like this. you walk into a testing place and get a positive for the corona. you get placed in a hospital for treatment, 3 weeks later you get a heart attack and die.. the hospital marks that death down as coming from the corona. did you die from a heart attack, the corona or both? one can surmise that the corona brought the heart attack or you were a high candidate and you were going to get the heart attack at some point anyway. then you can have questions as to were you going to survive the heart attack if you didn't have the corona?

We will niot get an accurate surveillance of the numbers until most of the pandemic is done. Until then we use the best estimates by the experts in the field.
How much is Johns Hopkins, The Covid Tracking Project, and all the other data sources like Worldometer
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/
Off by?
And are you more accurate then they are? The numbers may vary a few percentage points between all legit data sources, but I would rather trust then 1,000 times more, than you, and other pandemic minimizers and outright deniers who post here.

success in Victoria State, in Australia, where Melbourne, a city of about 5 million is located
from the article:
"After 28 days without any new cases or deaths from the coronavirus, the state of Victoria in Australia, which endured one of the strictest lockdowns in the world in recent months, announced on Friday that it had eliminated the virus.
Public health experts said the state’s success was proof that when the public adhered to strict regulations, the virus could successfully be eliminated.
Richard Denniss, a prominent Australian economist, also said on Twitter that the state’s stamping out of the virus proved that trusting in public health experts worked, and was also good for Australia’s economy. “Wow! Just wow!” he wrote. “Science works.”

Won't the vaccination program be almost completed in a couple of years?

In Japan, more suicides in one month than the pandemic has killed all year. Must save people from COVID though. Lockdowns are a horribly misguided policy that borders on criminal.
More people died of suicide in Japan in one month than the entire coronavirus pandemic

So Harry, do you still think the Asians got the pandemic right?

That fact goes right up there with how many fire ants died in the last cold snap...IT IS IRRELEVANT...

Yes it will speed up how long it takes to get most people infected. The number of infected that are asymptomatic will increase exponentially.
The people that do not get it are the ones isolated in doomsday bunkers with HEPA air filters.
The vaccination program will never be complete. Boosters every 4-6 months the rest of your life.
