How many people do you know that have family wealth that goes back to 1865 and before and originated in a slave state? Throughout my life I have personally known or worked with or for a grand total of ZERO. How many percent of our almost 300 million non black people do you think have money

today that was made off the backs of slaves? I would bet it is not even close to measurable fraction of 1%.


Going to Wikipedia I counted 32 recessions or depressions post Civil War. In each and everyone of those countless people go bankrupt and or have to start over, so the number of family fortunes that can be tied back to slavery
become fewer and fewer.

Apparently you failed grammar in school. We is a collective pronoun. It refers to a group. Obviously the gentleman speaking was not stolen from Africa and sold into slavery, but millions of Africans were.

And yes that does matter to African Americans today. If you think it doesn’t, then what the Founding Fathers did in Philadelphia in 1787 doesn’t matter either. The Americans who died in WWI, WWII, Korea, VietNam, Afgahanistan and Iraq don’t matter,

I was a straight A student in grammar school. I could probably dig up a few report cards in my late mom's personal belongings. How "we" is used is a personal preference if I use we I was there and participated. I have a friend
that said "we" poured the driveway. The only participation from his part was
paying the bill.



When I said "we" replumbed and rewired the well, I was physically involved, running the water pipe and wiring, my ex USPS supervisor neighbor was digging and filling the trench with his backhoe, and my girlfriend the tool girl.


She saves my back and knees so I don't have to get up and down from the ground or take too many trips up a ladder.


I noticed you say we when speaking of Democrats. I would never say we when speaking of Republicans, because unlike Democrats, no two of us are alike.



I don't consider myself to belong to any group is I am a unique individual. If black people want to use slavery for an excuse for their failures even if it does really matter it serves no positive purpose.


I could not believe Stephen A. Smith went on an angry anti black gang banger rant, as much as I find most of his rants annoying I gained a lot of respect for the man.

I do not think reparations are in order for those who were not slaves themselves, but I am sad that just about every politician from back when sold them out. I am all for the American working man and woman regardless of anything and if training programs for American's and not for those who came here illegally can be setup to not sell out Americans I am all for that. I really feel giving someone a stake in the game enables what is desperately needed and lacking in some of our stricken city's. For people like Mostpost it will never be enough but it would be more than what anyone has ever done.

No doubt blacks got screwed over constantly and now many are today by the very people who continue to make excuses for the ones who are failures. Pointing fingers and making excuses do not provide anything positive, and are actually doing harm.


Asians have been discriminated against, yet as a whole they have surpassed the white race, and I am sure to this day Asian kids are probably the target of bullies more than any others. That is just common sense, they are on the small side on average and tend to be smart. Also 25% of hate crimes committed against Asians, are done by 12% of the population, guess who?



The game the media plays portraying blacks as constant victims of whites serves no useful purpose and is damaging. Giving air time to race baiters like Reverend Al and Ben Crump does only harm, not good. Allowing rampant broadcasting of anti white racists like Joy Reid does not make up for any indiscretions against blacks in the past.


The media controls the narrative, if it keeps going in the direction it is nothing is going to change for the better, that is a given.
