GOP finally fights back

1 already out, other 2 imminent

Three Tennessee state Democrats were pulled from committee assignments after disrupting the state House floor in Nashville last Thursday during protests for stricter gun control measures, but the three activist lawmakers could soon face expulsion altogether.

Take out the trash day.

I thought the Republicans were the defenders of free speech? Apparently not in Tennessee.

Ridiculous.
Free speech is about what you say, nor [i] when ]/i] you say it.
Violating House rules is not free speech.

Hugh overreaction. None of them committed any crime. None of them has been reprimanded. They participated in a peaceful protest. They’re accused of violating the decorum of the House.
Even if true the worst that should happen is they be censured or reprimanded.

These three were standing up for their constituents, standing up for children who are being slaughtered. They should be given medals.

With Jones being expelled, 78,000 Tennesseans are without representation. How do they fill that vacancy. Does the Republican Governor appoint a replacement? Was that the point of the whole exercise.

It’s about both those things. It’s also about where you say it. To be effective speech needs to be heard at the right time and place. In this case the right time was during the debate on gun control. The right place was the Tennessee House of Representatives l

Republicans turned off the microphones when Democrats tried to speak. That is a grievous violation of free speech.

Censorship payback is a bear, isn't it?

You do not have the right to speak during official proceedingd.
They interrupted decorum. Now they pay the price.
Elrctions have consequences. Super majorities especially.

Turning off mics did not prevent them from talking, only being heard. No one has a right to a PA system provided to them.

Typical liberal foolishness from mostie yet again. I bet he supported a gag order for Trump.

When will democrats ever grow up and act like adults?

I want to know when they are going to all stop the ridiculous double standards. The instances of double standards is so common it is unreal.
Look at how J6 is viewed by them compared to the 100's or 1,000's of George Floyd riots. Look at how the killing of Ashli Babbit is viewed by them compared to a black man resisting arrest violently.

An actual HUGE OVERREACTION is discharging your firearm and shooting dead a woman brandishing no weapons, not attacking anyone and not even capable of attacking anyone in the moment she was shot dead from almost point blank range.

THAT IS A HUGE OVERREACTION, usually resulting in serious jail time and loss of employment.

But to you, that is heroic. And what happened in Tennessee is a "HUGE OVERREACTION"

Lt. Byrd who killed Ashli Babbit considers himself a hero, if that isn't sick and disgusting I don't know what is.

They also have voter suppression and climate change, always fighting enemies they create that don't exist.
