Team Handicapping Contest
I have been doing a lot of research and testing lately, but I've been also feeling a bit nostalgic. (And frankly, a little bored.) One thing that I had a lot of fun with was the team handicapping contests that were run a couple of times. God knows I could use some fun these days. I was just curious if there would be interest in one of these contests in the near future. If you aren't sure what the team contests were like I posted the threads of past rules.

I am using a poll to gauge interest. Obviously the contest would be dependent on PA Mike's approval and a few other things before we could roll with it.

Yeah! I love contests! I'd even be willing to donate some of the prize money. Count me in, Brian.

I miss the old contests we used have here, like Del-Toga.
Never won a dime but it was good fun
I'm in, although I can't see why anyone would want me as their teammate

Those were all contests between various other message boards.
Unfortunately, there aren't too many active message boards left...

It was fun, great memories. This one and aqueduct inner track contests we had in the winter were also great fun. CJ, myself and PA put these together.

Do you have the final results?
In looking it over , the Pick 3 was the main source of top scores...
Is that telling us something? Does it still stand true today?

I used to put up one race a day years ago for us to all handicap together and exchange ideas and it was fun for awhile but attendance dropped
Just looked it was over 5 years ago since those posts

So far, so good. It's only been a few days since the poll went up and there seems to be enough interest. I was hoping to get 8 or 10 teams worth of players and we might exceed that which would be cool. PA hasn't closed the thread yet, so that's one hurdle we've made it over.

We'd have won but andicap didn't put picks in for his assigned races. #ForgiveButNeverForget

I could be mistaken, but it sounds like CJ has thrown down a virtual gauntlet....

Damn right, I had two races and picked both winners including Funny Cide that paid $25. The other paid $50. Yes, I'm still bitter. Andy had the races right before me and we got blanked for those and it killed our chances. Don't remember the scoring system but it hurt.
