The Battle of Dunkirk or What is Pletcher thinking ??

They paid almost 4 million. He didnt run last year. He gets 3 races this year
And then perhaps theee strangest thing of all... NO WORKOUT AT Churchill Downs !!
Can someone offer an explanation of this insane outrageous impossible training schedule ? Maybe Joe Biden got hired by Brother
Pletcher .. to keep things moving right along

Almost $4 Million was paid for Dunkirk.
That reminds me. ...
How much was paid for The Green Monster?
What's he up to these days?

He's got 2 Native Dancer lines in his pedigree!

Put your money where your mouth is.
He either is, or he isn't.
From an historical perspective, foundation wise, he isn't.
From a Beyer viewpoint, he is.
So is he or isn't he, your call?

Me? He somehow set the highest Beyer in the last race.
Can he repeat that? Doubtful.
To leave him out of your betting plans, would be
sheer folly.
Personally, I will include him, but underneath my two
steeds.

I still can't decide, ... at this point, I'm thinking of dropping both Dunkirk and Pioneer Of The North from the top and the second tier of my TRI bet.

This might be the best non bet Derby for me.It's definitely intriguing as hell and Dunkirk might actually be the horse to break the Apollo mold.

I'd be impressed even while tearing up tickets.

As an aside I would just like to say it's been great to share the chase with you all. It's the best time of the year, especially if your baseball team is over .500.I just hope the enthusiasm continues beyond the Triple Crown. This is the best site for horseracing bar none!

Are you referring to The Green Monkey? Or are you from Boston?

Actually, to be fair to Pletcher, he gave Dunkirk the same series of three workouts (4f,5f,5f)coming into the Kentucky Derby that he gave him going into the Florida Derby where he ran a 108 Beyer.
I do wonder whether Dunkirk's Florida Derby performance took something out of him though.
