Eventually there are going to be results coming from helicopters flights in the rarefied Martian atmosphere. These are some major achievements and milestones in the progress of science and technology.

The hardware is supposed to gather samples that might contain traces of life. Sometime in the next ten years another flight is supposed to go to Mars, collect the samples and bring them back to Earth for a close examination by humans.
This does not sound like a good idea to me. Supposedly any life forms in the samples will have been dead for millions or even billions of years. What it they are not? If they are not then we could have a Martian disease that will make COVID-19 look like the common cold.
