Value in a virtual stable
I came back to harness racing earlier last month but left it for the greyhounds before the Red Mile Grand Circuit Meet.
I just have to share with you all and this is most important to the new players entering the game, no matter the breed of entrants in racing, it is important for you to do two things when watching a race.
First thing is to not concentrate on your wagering numbered horses; but rather, the whole race looking for horses that are trapped (without room to move) and had a lot of horse left in them. You might also see a horse hung the mile and lasted almost to the wire. Watching the horses you already bet prior to watching the race will not help you in your future wagers but doing the viewing of the whole race looking for troubled trip horses will make you money in the future.
The second thing to do is to make note of your observations of those races into a database of sorts. If you do not have the ability to create a database, go to trackmaster and open up a free account for your harness virtual stable. In it, you will add the horses with the troubled trips that had more horse in them than will appear in the future past performances. The virtual stable will email you when they drop in the draw box to race, an email to remind you on the day of the race and a final email for the results of the race.
Since going back to the puppies, I still receive my virtual stable notices (when entered, day of the race notice and results of the race notice). I still like to know that something I did earlier still has value.
Two of those horses that I placed in the virtual stable came back to win at this Red Mile Meet. One horse was placed in about a year ago and the other was a couple weeks ago. Both paid nice. I attached the result notices for your inspection.
If you are in this game I have to assume you are wagering. If not watching for troubled trips and a virtual stable, you are going to miss out on future horses at nice prices.
I have to say that I might see or recognize something different in the same race that another views. You will too, but that is what makes this game so competitive and interesting no matter the breed. I do have my virtual kennel for my greyhounds.

Stable Mail
Are there any other options for stable mail? Wondering what other sites might offer the same thing. Thanks

I only used trackmaster but I do believe that your advanced deposit wagering service (ADW) like Twin Spires might have something similar for their customers. I really am not sure if it includes harness racing but do recall Twin Spires did have something for the thoroughbreds.
Sorry I could not be more help in this request. These virtual stables are free.

Thanks. I was just curious if there was one that didn't require credit card info. If there are no other suggestions I will try it.

TrackMaster Virtual Stable
In case there is any question, the TrackMaster virtual stable is free, and requires no credit card for sign up (just and email ID and Password). TrackMaster has something called "Virtual Stable Plus", which allows users to track drivers, trainers, sires and dams, which has a nominal fee. But the basic TrackMaster Virtual Stable, which allows users to track horses and enter comments, get updates upon program completion, day of race, and even text messages 45-60 minutes before a race, as well as result notifications, is a totally free service without any credit card requirements.

Again Dave
Thank you for posting and standing by your product.
I do have one suggestion. Lower the price of Harness Pro back to 2 or 2.50 like it was before. I think you would really like the result.
