New Navarro Trouble

Got the ruling via attachment on text so can't copy. The hearing was on Oct 17.

Monmouth ruling from race in June where winner George Cross tested positive for 3 drugs, two of which were cocaine and morphine.

His penalty? A $2,500 fine.

That's a real deterrent, right? It should have at least another 0 on the end, and for those particular drugs, I'm not sure it isn't worthy of two 0s on the end.

What a joke.

Horrendous decision by those in charge at MP first of all they waited for a long period of time to release this and they didn't suspend the trainer or rule the horse off. Again another black eye for the good ole boys at MP who as of now have acted like team of cover up specialists. I can hear Jorge now "I will defend this vigorously" really?

The link says that the $2,500 fine was as a result of "investigative evidence", and "mitigating circumstances". Are the customers ever told what these are?

I'd be particularly interested in reading those "mitigating circumstances."

Correct ...with a wink....I have spoken to both of my trainers and they are livid that this would be tolerated with everything that happened in Tampa and positives that he is "vigorously defending" but again the carpet at MP seems to be very large and what gets swept under it wont affect anyone, but since we have many who are sick of this maybe just maybe there will be a ruling in the near future to get rid of individuals who continue to take advantage of a frail system. Time for Dennis Drazin to stand up and take a position against this type of offender while he still commands the respect of the horseman!

Dennis Drazin to Fast, his trainers and the rest of the racing world-
"Navarro is welcome back at Monmouth Park next year. We are worried about the integrity of Monmouth Park, but we don't think this warrants us telling him not come back next year."

That is his way of saying STFU. I am doing things MY WAY.

Wonder what the Breeders' Cup will do, or maybe they already quietly did it?

The link to the "story" has since been deleted, but I found these:

http://www.drf.com/news/el-deal-miss...pensory-injury

https://www.horseracingnation.com/ne...Cup_Sprint_123

He does have two more probables, Sharp Azteca and War Story.
