Kentucky Derby TV Coverage
just wanted to start a thread we can all post on to alert everyone of a Kentucky Derby preview show or any type of Kentucky Derby programming of interest... TVG really stinks at not doing more 'Pursuit Of The Crown'

I don't know why TVG stopped Pursuit of the Crown......ESPN channels will have past derby winning days leading up to the derby to get everyone hyped up.

i know... wish there was more preview type shows. i see no logic in TVG stopping pursuit of the crown... its just stupid.. biggest event of the sport and they are a horse racing network... like the nfl channel ignoring the super bowl

Yep......they should have a show twice a week this week & next week showing the contenders working outgalloping, & interviews with the trainers.
Horse racing is out of touch with their fans, unlike the NFL ......

this year i believe the NBC coverage will be minus Bob Neumeir. he suffered a stroke about 6 month ago and is recovering now. the man lives for horse racing and he will miss this big day and we will miss him if he's not working.
last i heard he was recovering nicely and i hope he surprises me and we see him working on the air in Louisville this year, but i have heard that NBC has hired a guy that was a former NHL player for this years broadcast.

He is a pretty good handicapper as well....not afraid to pick some

I hope he does well.
