It's pretty apparent that none of you know, let alone understand, the power of fierce loyalty to a cause...the power of strength in numbers! It's painfully clear that the Demos do understand.

How stupid to think that "Trump has failed" because he failed to "drain the swamp"...a freakin' swamp that has been slowly destroying this country for decades and which, because of him, has been glaringly revealed. I'd bet that none of you ever gave the idea of "swamp" a second thought before Trump came along.

Can anyone explain this quote? And just who was it that had to correct her grammar by inserting brackets, albeit a few more errors were missed?

Some people are so easily swayed!

This is the most disappointing thread I've ever seen put up here!!

To those of you who call Trump a failure because he didn't "drain the swamp", you do know the "swamp" has a 50-60 year head start.

The person that is the link's reference is a NOBODY. Plus the writer is patently ignorant.

Thanks to MargieRose for originally commenting. I am just piling on.

Trump made some TERRIBLE choices in terms of personnel he put into place.

HE NOMINATED MARK MILLEY

He put JOHN FUCKING BOLTON in as National Security Advisor

How does a guy like Trump, whose stated goal is to drain the swamp, put someone like John Bolton in charge of anything in his administration? That was laughable. Bolton's name is almost synonymous with neocon.

Almost every choice Trump made was flawed in terms of personnel.

Whoever had his ear for these choices is a total moron. There are too many to name, actually, in addition to Milley & Bolton.

Trump put America First and American citizens first, and that alone makes him the best president since Ronald Reagan. And a pretty swell human.

NONE of Reagan's successors did that. All promised but none ever did so. Only Trump.

Since you also used the term priest as a pejorative I remind you that if any ex-president should have been a "priest", it is Bill Clinton, who spent most of his days sticking a cigar up a woman's private parts. And when Clinton wasn't violating "that woman, Miss Lewinsky", this traitor was glomming money from Russia, China and Ukraine by selling oil, uranium and influence around the world -- and not the influence American patriots were proud of.

I don’t disagree with any of this. But he failed at the ultimate goal of transforming the gov by draining the swamp.

Tons of votes went his way due to what was bound to happen at the Supreme Court. And that all panned out.

He won’t have that advantage coming up

I believe that Trump's appointment results were impacted by the following:
(a) His underestimation of the deepness of the swamp and political apparatus.
(b) His inability to get "his" choices approved because they were threats to the establishment.

IMO Trump is a very smart man who will have a significantly improved game plan the next time around.

making him out to be worse then he is, is equally as disturbing...perhaps more so, as it validates the theories that he is seen by many as some sort of threat to the shit show establishment that is DC

And if he is, that's a GOOD THING

Trump made all the Hillary supporters cry on election night, that was priceless. It was one of those memories I will never forget. It was like watching the first horse I bet on win.

The economy = United States: $20.89 trillion.

Nope, not a big enough swamp.

What did he accomplish? The Wall, which he never finished, is a waste of time and money. Tax cuts for rich people who weren’t paying enough to begin with. Endingthe Iran Nuclear treaty did nothing but make the world a mote dangerous place. He was really good at spreading hatred of disadvantaged groups. I mean really disadvantaged, not whiny nitwits like you. If you were gay, you were worse off under Trump. If you were black or Hispanic, you were worse off under Trump. If you were a woman, especially a woman of child bearing age, you were worse off under Trump. If you were a Muslim, you were worse off under Trump. If you had Covid, you were worse of the under Trump. If you were any kind of a decent human being the Trump Presidency was an unmitigated disaster.

I get that Liberals are gonna Liberal...and Conservatives are gonna Conservative. But you...you are a special kind of Lowlife. Same goes for the Dregs who will come along here shortly to defend your Ass.
