Could anyone shed light as to where this jockey came from? He's got 100 rides on the NYRA circuit this year, and has zero wins & just 2 second place finishes as well. Never had an apprentice allowance here, no equibase info prior to this year. From the scant info online I found it looks like he came from the Dominican Republic, but any idea as to what level of success he actually had there? Surprised he hasn't tried more time at some of the surrounding lower level tracks, wonder how long a losing streak can persist before trainers have seen enough.

I've wondered how Amin did in his prior racing career. Obviously he didn't start as an apprentice here so he must have ridden somewhere else. He finally got his first win last Sunday (but has 2 wins because he finished 2nd (on Kumar) behind Winter Pool a Linda Rice horse that was dq'd for a drug violation). I'm using him on a big longshot at Aqueduct today, Ava K's Boy.
