Court kills Cali hi-cap magazine ban

One for the good guys.

A U.S. District court ruling says that the California ban on gun magazines holding more than 10 rounds is a violation of the Second Amendment.

This is probably the least odious of California’s restrictions.

For example:
1.beginning this year it is illegal to import or purchase online ammo.
2. In July, a background check will be required to purchase ammo.
3. Unless I go to a licensed range it is virtually impossible to discharge a
weapon anywhere in Riverside county.

Doesn't the Peoples Republic of California have a special tax on ammo? And doesn't that background check include a fee for a permit to buy ammo?

No and sorta...but that will probably change. The state is considering a .05-per-round charge and the fee for a background check is $1 (That’s one dollar every time you purchase ). I should add that if you don’t have a gun registered in California then the background check is $19. Also, all purchases are recorded in a database.
