The next 10 years will see the deaths of so many we grew up with. Hard for me to fathom.

In the next 10 years...some of us may even see our OWN deaths.

If you are an Eagles fan of the 70's, as I am, go to youtube sometime and search for an Eagles concert in Largo Md. It is in good quality and shows the band with Meissner, Frey, Henley, Walsh, and Felder. The vocals and guitar work are great.

Apparently it was the pneumonia that led to his death. According to Bob Segar, they had 8 different specialist working on him, they even put him in a medically induced coma. Segar claims that about a month ago, the doctors gave up.
I saw the Eagle at the Irvine Spectrum for their Hell Freezes Over tour. Also, saw Fry and Walsh together back in 1993 in Pensacola Fl. RIP Glen.

Too soon............. One of my favorite groups as a youngster. Got to see them live in Shreveport 1976 or 77 when I was about 15. Tickets were 6 or 7 dollars. Damn time flies!!! RIP Glen!

On CNN, I've watched, tonight, the 3 hour documentary, The History of the Eagles. At the end, was added, "In memoriam of Glenn Lewis Frey" with his date of birthday and death.
"Again, RIP, Glenn Frey. For over four decades, you changed the sound and the face of music, among your greatest accolades, the writing and creating of the largest selling album of the entire 20th century, Hell Freezes Over." <3

Saw the Eagles at the Shell in Honolulu back in the 70's, with Linda Ronstadt and Jackson Brown. Best concert ever for me! The Eagles and the Doobies, loved that kind of music!
Rest well my friend!!!!!

In my case, I hope you're right. Hmmm - I think I'm 67 anyway?

How many lines and how many beers can a 67yr old consume lifetime without affecting their lifespan?

Driveway, maybe it was simply his time. When fighting chronic illness, as we know, one is in far greater danger when pneumonia comes, infecting our lungs and heart. Their ability to deliver oxygen to our organs.
If our time here was based solely on our choices or addictions (if we have the latter) fellow band member, Joe Walsh, would've been dead decades ago. It was Frey that got Walsh into rehab.

I think the human body is amazingly resilient, and everyone has to thank god for that. Pneumonia often can be seen way too close in any ICU when you have someone close to you and watch several who did not make it out of the ICU and all having a few things in common.
1.) Smokers give Doctors much less to work with, generally speaking, many times people are making more carbon monoxide than oxygen.
2.) Often Pneumonia is beat with drugs, but the second Pneumonia that comes along is very resistant to drugs.
RIP Glenn Frey

Yep.
By that standard, Pete Townsend (daily bottles of Courvoisier) & Keith Richards (booze, smack & marijuana) should have been dead 50x over!

Maybe it was his time. However, his lifestyle choices are more than likely to have affected his lifespan.
Compare to family members who live healthy lives and pass judgement.
As far as Joe Walsh is concerned, similar comparisons will shed light as to his longevity.
Let's hope Joe overcomes.
