Would that be racist enough for you?
If America were under attack daily from people living in Cuba and/or Venezuela, then yes, I could understand restrictions on letting these people back into the country. If Cubans and Venezuelans were regularly blowing themselves up on American corners and in American marketplaces, yes, I could understand not letting these people into the country, even if they were citizens.

You seem to be ignoring the circumstances that surround Israel. Their stated reason for this policy is to thwart terrorism.

Your argument would have validity if there weren't ANY non-Jewish Arabs living legally in Israel, but this isn't the case, is it?

Menachem Begin, as quoted in Amnon Kapeliouk, "Begin and the Beasts,"New Statesman, June 25, 1982

Indeed, the radical French-Israeli journalist, Amnon Kapeliouk, did attribute such a quote to Begin in his New Statesman article criticizing Israel’s invasion of Lebanon. The author posited:

For this reason the government has gone to extraordinary lengths to dehumanise the Palestinians. Begin described them in a speech in the Knesset as "beasts walking on two legs".

However, further investigation by CAMERA reveals that the actual speech upon which Kapeliouk based his quote, as well as news reports at the time demonstrate that the journalist distorted the quote, giving it a completely different tone and meaning. Begin was talking, not about "the Palestinians" but about terrorists who target children within Israel.

On June 8, 1982, Begin addressed the Knesset in response to a no-confidence motion over Israel's invasion of Lebanon. He talked about defending the children of Israel, and according to a June 9, 1982 AP report, “his voice quaver[ed] with anger and sadness.” According to the minutes of the session, Begin stated:

The children of Israel will happily go to school and joyfully return home, just like the children in Washington, in Moscow, and in Peking, in Paris and in Rome, in Oslo, in Stockholm and in Copenhagen. The fate of... Jewish children has been different from all the children of the world throughout the generations. No more. We will defend our children. If the hand of any two-footed animal is raised against them, that hand will be cut off, and our children will grow up in joy in the homes of their parents.

Kapeliouk neither recanted nor apologized for his deception.

Steve R, riddle me this.

How do Arab women in Israel fare compared to Arab women in Arab countries...say like Iran for instance?

If you were an Arab woman, where would you live if you had the choice? Iran or Israel?

My bias is against murderers.

I'm guessing your links would come from the Zionist hate group CAMERA and the Menachem Begin Heritage Foundation, credible sources to be sure. But considering Begin led the murderous Irgun terrorists and was one of the scummiest human beings of the 20th century I think the quote could be accurate. The a_ hole murdered 91 people in the King David Hotel. Anyone with that level of hatred could easily make the statement attributed to him. Or was he just a poor, misunderstood "freedom fighter"?

But you could be right. After all, most Americans believe bin Laden was directly responsible for 9/11 even though he denied it, his video "confession" has been proven a fraud and the FBI's "Most Wanted Terrorists" web page never stated that he was wanted for the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Colin Powell's "evidence" of bin Laden's implication has never been released and they killed bin Laden before he could say anything in court. I'll retract my belief in the Begin quote when you dismiss your belief that bin Laden was responsible for 9/11, assuming you do.

Gee, maybe Hitler didn't say all those things attributed to him about Jews, Slavs and Gypsies either.

Israel has anti-discrimination laws, but racial discrimination is a problem that the Knesset continues to deal with.

There have been recent protests about the treatment of Ethiopian Jews in some centers.

You are really a complete fool.

But you proved my response to you correct. No time to waste on fools like you, but PA didn't mind.

Oh, no...not at all. I don't even like the idea of a U.N., let alone it having the legal authority to impose its will upon nations. However, I do like very much that the good Lord above truly has a "sense of humor". The fact that this commie-loving, globalist-minded, God-hating political body put its stamp of approval on the establishment of an Israeli state is proof positive that God truly does rule over the nations (Ps. 22:28) and that He does whatever he desires in His world and among the sons of men (whether they be the wicked or the righteous). I gotta think, though, that the U.N. for the last several decades has been puzzling over how they ever allowed this to happen. I have to think they would love to be able click on the "undo" button.

No beef. Just showing that Israel does, in fact, have racial laws, which others here have denied. Israelis can be as racist as they like. I'm only surprised an American would defend such laws, or maybe you think Kwanzaa and Chanukah should be outlawed as well. I don't know enough about you to draw any conclusions.
First of all, let's get something straight once and for all: Jews and Arabs are half brothers. Both Jews and Arabs have as their grand patriarch a guy named Abraham. So, this is not a "racial" dispute at all. It is a religious one. And it goes way, way, way back in time when the sovereign God of all the earth decreed that Hagar's son Ishmael (Abraham's first born) would NOT inherit the promises God made to Abraham. So...there's a jealousy thing going on here that is many centuries old. (In fact, all this feudin' was prophesied in the bible!) I'm just trying to add a little biblical perspective to this very long feud.

Quote:
The land owned by Arabs in living in Israel was not won in a war. Since the U.N. says the occupation is illegal, the confiscation of land in the occupied territories is illegal as well. Or do you prefer to pick and choose between what the U.N. says is legal (the state of Israel) and illegal (the occupation of Arab territories).
Of course, it was won in two wars, in fact -- but especially in the famous (or infamous, depending on who your team is) six-day war. Territory was captured in that war. And that, my friend, is called the spoils of war. And that "law" existed long before the U.N. was a gleam in anyone's eye.

Quote:
No beef again. If, as you suggest, racial laws truly are blessed by the Jewish citizens of Israel then I reserve the right to accuse Israel of following in the tradition of their Nazi tormenters of the past. As I noted in an earlier post, they have adopted the Nazi playbook very well.
Not at all. Per my paragraph above, the Jews are in the land they occupy legally. It was territory captured and controlled during wars -- wars that Israel did not start. If the Arabs don't want to lose land, they should have have thought twice about going up against Israel. Israel didn't invade anyone. The Egyptians and Arabs did!

Now, do I think Israel has a "biblical" right to the land? Not at all! Israel's possession of the Promised Land was always conditioned upon their keeping the Mosaic Covenant. Since they blew that big time (in more ways than one), they have no such right. The only thing God promised was that Israel would never cease from being a nation; therefore,t implicit in that promise is the possession of land. A nation has to have physical boundaries. God could have kept his promise by setting Israel up somewhere in Europe or down in the South Pole, or on a tiny nation island in the South Pacific, wherever....but, again, God has a sense of humor. He gave Israel, through the godless U.N., a very tiny sliver of the Promised Land -- just enough land to really piss off the Arabs.

But all this did not happen by accident. It was all by divine design. Think about this for a moment by trying to look at the much bigger picture: There are three major theistic religions in the world -- Judaism is the oldest, then Christianity, then came along the Arabs with Islam. Not only do all three have theism in common, but they all have Abraham in common! As explained above, Arabs and Jews descend from the loins of Abraham. And Christians have him as their spiritual father because his faith is the prototype of what biblical faith is all about.

What also all three religions have in common is their natural distrust for one another. This makes for a very shaky world; however, it's not the Jews or the Evangelical Christians who are the jihadists in this world. But one day soon, a man will come along who will claim that he knows how to fix the longstanding problems among the three groups and, therefore, bring peace to the entire world. Stay tuned... I know you won't want to miss his advent.

Steve R is far from an unbiased source on anything Israel. While he claims pacifism and Jewish heritage, he uses all the code words and double speak of the most radical anti-Semetic groups. And he's a self proclaimed socialist on top of it.

There are legitimate criticisms of Israel, as Geyfox showed highlighting the problems Ethiopian Jews face. Steve R doesn't bring legitimate criticism, he brings pure nonsense.

What you conveniently left out about the King David Hotel bombing , which I agree was wrong and tragic , was that warning was given before the bombing and ignored .
I see where your mindset is though. You and radical Islam are crying in your alphabet soup over bin Laden's never getting a chance for a trial .

Hey Steve R., bin Laden denied it...credible source... ...good enough for me...

Apparently though, those who deny Begin ever uttered such words isn't good enough for good ol' Steve R.

In a way it's too bad bin Laden wasn't brought to trial or at least interrogated.

America might be safer today.
