50,000, 100,000, who cares?
Did attendence hurt anyone here?
Did you win ;less money?
If you were on track, maybe you had time to buy a hot dog or
go to the bathroom/

Handle was down almost 9 percent from last year at Keeneland. That's the important number.

A number that reflects more than racing.
Considering the economy, I'd say pretty good number,

Pretty much a decline that mirrors the overall drop in handle in the country over the last year.

Finally some thoughts with common sense!!!
I mean who gives a shit where the BC is held, how many attended, or how much was bet?
Each year the BC undoubtedly offers some great racing and many a horse player looks forward to this big event in our game. I don’t know about anyone else, but I thoroughly enjoyed both days from both a viewing and betting experience. It was also my pleasure to share my race by race BC selections in real time here on PA.

Did they give a reason for this? Or was it the crossing over the dirt worry nonsense?

Last year at KEE was definitely not cold or damp. Don't really remember it being overly windy either but not positive on that one.

maybe Santa Anita should switch the dirt track to the turf and vice versa, then no need for a dirt crossover
with that hill course, it would be the leading Turf venue in the US and the dirt course is already a bullring of sorts, so it wouldn't make that any worse

From what I remember being there, Friday the weather was sunny and in the 60's to maybe 70 with a light wind, Saturday was cloudy and in the 50's with a pretty strong wind out of the northwest. No rain on either day.

Where do people get all their misinformation:-)
It was a little windy on Saturday, but it was very warm and a beautiful day.

Not always, but there is probably at least a 50/50 chance for bad weather. I was at the last one held there in 2005 with my wife and it was miserable (and I grew up in Buffalo). It was 46 degrees, cloudy and very windy. Everyone stayed inside the whole time except for a few brave souls that went out for a few minutes to watch the races. It just doesn't seem worth the risk to me.
