I don't think anybody can revoke your freedom of speech. Doesn't mean your free speech is free from consequences. When the consequences spill over from the person freely speaking to others that is when the problems really begin.

None of those are constitutional rights. "willing to give them" that is not a right - that is a gift. So your original point is wrong by your own admission. The NFl is going to tell them they will not take a knee - Cowboys already been told.
Welcome to the REAL world.

People like Dan just do not have any clue what the word respect means. They never will. They believe only their rights and opinions matter.

The thing that needs to be pointed out here is that it isn't "patriotism" that ultimately wins-out in the event that these protests come to a quick end. The owners have already sided with the players on this issue...and any "change of heart" that the owners might show is strictly because of the pressure that the TV sponsors are putting on them. It's the "almighty dollar" that is flexing its muscle here...not the "respect for the flag".

You neglect to note that many or all of the owners were intimidated into allowing it. Is there any doubt that they worried about not being supposedly sympathetic to the plight of blacks, or causing team disharmony? They may actually need the NFL to provide them cover re enforcing standing at allegiance.

These conversations baffle me. Only the government is disallowed to take away your speech, not any other entity.

I still believe in what he is doing though overall.

Patriotic American Redskins fans give it to the 49ers
Seven pro-cop killers on the 49ers disrespected this country's flag and kneeled during the playing of our Nation Anthem in Washington DC today.

Kaepernik has filed a grievance against the owners for collusion under the latest collective bargaining agreement. He is claiming that the owners have colluded to blackball him from the NFL.
Quote:
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Kaepernick wants to trigger termination of the current Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Article 69, Section 2 of the CBA allows for the agreement to be terminated prematurely in the event of proof of collusion. Under Article 17, Section 16(c) of the CBA, termination can arise from only one incident of collusion involving only one player if there is clear and convincing evidence of a violation.
