"...helped Fannie Mae overcome "regulatory issues"." (i.e., big time lobbyist)
I guess the real problem is with the bureaucracies. As soon as those problems are fixed we can begin to tackle the real problem.

MSNBC : All criticism of the government's handling of Ebola, and all calls for travel bans, are pure racism.

Quote:
Want a selective travel ban? Think the Mexican border should be secured? Turns out you’re not concerned about the spread of Ebola, you’re actually a really horrible bigot. At least, that was the stance of MSNBC hosts Alex Wagner and Joy Reid. The host of “Now with Alex Wagner” played clips of Republican lawmakers and conservative commentators criticizing President Obama and the CDC’s handling of the Ebola crisis, accusing them of “not even thinly-veiled racism.”

“That stuff is incredible,” Wagner said, referring to criticisms from Republican lawmakers, Glenn Beck, and Bill O’Reilly. “He is their president, Joy. I mean, it’s not even thinly veiled racism at this point.”

Reid agreed: “No, and I’m glad you called it a racial stew because it is kinda like the perfect storm. You have an African, God forbid, flies into the United States and you have all of these sort of issues of immigration sort of thrown into it.”

Government exists to protect itself not us.
NOTHING they do will ever be without political reasons.
We elect the scum of the earth to represent us and then expect them to actually do the right things?

It you are not going to get Ebola, it be be because of precautions YOU take, not anything the Fools on the Hill do. Remember the rash Obama gave Bush over Avian Flu? It was nothing but talk, which is Obama's legacy. Shoe on the other foot, he goes and plays golf. Bottom, He could not care less how many die from Ebola as long as he gets his golf game in.

So far, no plan in place, no adequate training, no oversight - the US government has done ZERO. And that will turn out to be the best they end up doing.

Actually, Tom, I'd say the guy is spot on. The handling of this whole thing has been at a level incompetence that we have come to expect from this administration.

The level of shear idiocy is beyond comprehension.

It's like they were injected with drugs known to produce psychotic episodes for a few decades and their current reality is the result of the inevitable brain damage. I'm not sure I want to live on the same planet as these nitwits, let alone contemplate that they could influence policy that could impact my life.

It is a totally logical conclusion, if you start from the premises that Obama is the smartest president ever, that he is the post-partisan, post-racial president, and that this is the most transparent administration ever.

Make sense now?

If not, wash it down with a little Kool Aid and all will be made clear to you.

Trying to follow this.. So Fox News' Ablow says that Obama isn't our president, he's Africa's president.. others among the righty nuts say he actually brought ebola here on purpose to make us suffer like his African brethren..

http://aattp.org/phyllis-schlafly-go...e-like-africa/

..So someone at MSNBC calls out these comments for being racist and crazy (which they are), and then the Daily Clocker (sorry, Caller) creates an article to criticize the MSNBC talking heads for daring to suggest that. Do I have it right?

No one at MSNBC was suggesting that ALL the criticism is racist. Just some of it.

That would be sensible if it were accurate.

There are loony birds and bigots all overt the political spectrum that say crazy things, but MSNBC was calling out GOP law makers and mainstream political commentators, calling them racist. That of course puts MSNBC among the loony birds.

This administration has suggested it won't limit flights from the affected area for "African economic reasons" and because we need to fight the problem at the source. But there is no reason whatsoever we can't continue CONTROLLED flights in and out for medical personnel and military (if military is actually essential) while blocking commercial flights that could lead to another case in another city which will spread to additional US healthcare workers and disrupt thousands of lives. Putting a non existent economy in front of the well being of US citizens should be a treason if it's isn't.

Making a comment like that.
And I don't read Canadian newspapers.
That is probably why.

Say what you will about Obama ( I will) and the bottom line is that after the anthrax scare in 2001, we are totally unprepared for any kind of and bio attack on our shores.

I imagine there are precautions in place on the links, but no on our streets.
Homeland Security and CDC have done nothing.
And Obama puts a community organizer in charge.

Hey Dan, got a Colbert comment on your boy's pathetic performance in national security?
