I bought a Lenova ThinkPad, W10.
Can anyone direct me to a good video or article on how to set it up for the first time? I have looked at about a dozen YouTube videos so far and none of them really tell you how to do it from the start.

Thanks

Well, I got it running.
Seems to be working, but for some reason cannot get to TVG site.
Anyone have trouble connecting to them? Maybe a firewall issue?

If you're not home yet....there's a good chance that whatever facility you are recovering at has gambling sites blocked.

Yep.......you’re right Tom. Probably blocked by the firewall.

Sometimes you can ask and they will allow you to get thru.

Found a way around it - signed up for YouTube TV and added sports package which as TVG in it!

Gotta say, going from XP with a 256K Ram to W10 with 4G ram is outstanding!
Never was able to do much on many sites and watching movies or TV shows was dubious at best.

This YT TV is a good deal!

Anyone have YT premium?

I’m sick of the commercials.

Wait until you try it with 16 or 32GB

I monitor a few 'cord cutting' sites and the universal comment is that people like YTTV. The only negative I read about is that it costs almost as much as 'cable'. If I could get it here in the Great White North I probably would.

Glad you got something working.

Well, costs almost as much as cable...but without all the monthly rental fees for boxes plus all the other fees they tack on...

It's definitely cheaper.

I'm saving every month.

To get all the cannels I wanted, and DVR, cable was more than twice what I am paying for YT......

Now, to tackle setting up email!
