Remington Park: Springboard Mile - Fri 12/17
Let's see what the hive mind over here on paceadvantage comes up with. Even if you're not going to bet your pick... let's get some action in this part of the forum and at least post an opinion.
I just gave the pps a look, and to be honest I'm not sure I can get past the Make It Big.
The only other entry that I can make a case for is the Classic Moment.
The Bye bye Bobby just looks to me like he'll need too large of a step forward for me to consider a win candidate.
I'm not betting the race...(I just enjoy thinking and the mental exercise) the play in my mind would be to use the into the Pearly for a double if I got like 29/1.
In the 11th I like Park on the Nile. Margins are too thin, and it's really not my style to play tickets like this.
I'll play a cold pick 3 (6/5/6) to pay for my free pps. come and get it

good race Michael
false contender BYE BYE BOBBY is 4/1 ml, and will certainly be out of the Exacta, and probably be out of the Super.
exotics add ROWDY RASCAL is 12/1 ml, and he has a reasonably chance to run fourth or third.

Concept. Top fig off 2 back, this track, by a big margin. He regressed, but had long enough to recover, or is here to ensure a pace?
Make it Big. 4th top fig, in a cluster, at 7 furlongs. Saffie brings Ortiz for the ride, might have brought along a little "somethin' somethin'"for that extra furlong.
Classic Moment. Ran 3rd top fig last out after 15 point move, add lasix, [Asmussen is 26% FTL]. Is this the one the might be setting up?
Rowdy Rascal progressing nice through 3 in a row, including an 8 point move first time going long, this track, 22% J/T combo. Can easily fill the lower levels of the ticket.
Osborne. Paired 2nd top fig winning second career start. If he goes for the lead, probably doomed, but if he runs like his first race, he's a major contender.
for the win, as fillers.
Revisit a hour before post time.

I will take the Needs to improve some but room to do so. Better price then others I like equally. Should like added distance.

The and are a little bit awkward to me.
If I was just 'capping based on what I've seen, I'd slightly prefer the .
(hey, I thought the 1 ran fine against the grain last time)
However, I believe the may be more highly thought of between ownership, prior placement, breeding politics, maybe jockey choice, etc...
The 1 may even out-run his odds, but may be in here to play 'fullback'
If my toss, the is really 3rd choice, there is no need to split hairs (if you were in some larger multi-race or exotics thing, bet slightly more on the 5 if taking more $).
-Guessing that the actual betting of the and will be closer than the ml.
