There doesn’t seem to be any info on how much he won. Not gonna try to link the video from twitter here but you guys can go check it out for yourselves. It’s at
Spanky and his twitter handle is spankysports, the video is from June 28 so scroll down and you will see it.

I watched the video. The guy was thrown out after betting for 3 days...because "he won too much and his action was too sharp". Welcome to sports-betting..."American style".

Will hill had a nice picture on Twitter of a 240,000 buck hit on a 10,000 play.

I thought it was cheesy at the Mth/Will Hill book there was a sign that if you bet $1K or more you HAD to use a player's card.

My concern was what if they used your mobile/online betting records to customize the lines they offered you.

For example, the data shows you play favorites 65% of the time, so the lines you get offered are skewed. meaning the line for you moves 1/2 a point or so against you in football, baseball you are laying slightly more etc.

I know my childhood bookie did so, you could hear him discuss clients calling in with other guys in his office, adding or subtracting a point or so from the real lines.

Obviously, just looking online might tell you whether you are being screwed...and you could always bet live and avoid this...but in general the ability to use the gathered data against the sports bettor is there.

I would bet that once winter sets in the choice between the two once they are online will be meaningless.

Got a response from BetfairUS

At this time only in person wagering is available. Online is coming soon and will have location requirements similar to the Betfair Casino. Anyone can have an account, but they must physically be in New Jersey to place a wager.

They suggested I go out to the Meadowlands in the meantime

FanDuel/betfair will have to lower the vig to remain competive.

The ones they charged for opening weekend were high.

As you say, once they both have the same product for sale on line. They will both have the same Vig.

Like previously mentioned FanDuel is coming online late August I believe in time for football. Maybe it gets moved we'll see. I sent a message to the Betfair exchange and they said the plan is to offer sports on there as well, but there are some legal and technical hurdles to deal with 1st. I'm still waiting for NYRA to be on the exchange after 2 years so I won't hold my breath waiting for sports to be offered there.

John Brennan(former writer for the North Jersey record) stated that according to an insider the 1st site to go online is supposed to be this month so within the next 2 weeks. He didn't know if it was Wlliam Hill or Borgata. If I can find the article when I have some more time later I'll link it.

If this image of the takeouts is accurate...then this isn't a sports-betting operation....it's an outright SCAM. this line Fluctuates from 20-cents on the pick'em games...to 30-cents on the other games. Totally unacceptable, IMO...and the bettors should be ENCOURAGED to bet into these lines...instead of being barred from them.

Stopped in at the Meadowlands an hour ago to check it out. What a comedy act with their baseball vig. 25 cent line on the all star game. AL was at -160 and the NL was +135. Will Hill will eat them for lunch if they don't get their act together.

the lines at the Meadowlands are not competitive for baseball. I realize neither PaddyPower or FanDuel has done this before, but William Hill is the best sports book operator in the country, and if they do not match those lines they will be out of luck. I actually think it is going to turn out to be very important that William Hill is in NJ to keep everybody honest, otherwise it might have been amateur hour through and through.

Big bettors will assuredly open an account with every sports book and shop lines.

I keep checking in with William Hill folks in NJ and in Las Vegas...they tell me I am on the list and will be informed immediately when the mobile/online release is nearing. I will pass it along as soon as I know.
