China’s weather chief warns of ‘huge impact’ of climate change

As the world’s two biggest economies, China and the US are the world’s two largest polluters, producing about 45 per cent of the world’s carbon dioxide between them. In November last year, the two countries agreed to strengthen co-operation on cutting greenhouse gases and pledged to reduce emissions, raising the possibility of a deal at climate change conference in Paris this year.

At least one record – the all-time high temperature for Dec. 23 – is expected to be eclipsed Wednesday, the weather service said. The high temperature of 66 degrees, set in 1933, is projected to be surpassed with a high of 67 degrees.

I'm not much of a believer in short term trends.
I have to consider the audience around here, though.
