Say to my wife: Was I right? Was I right? She laughs and goes back to her book.

I do this everytime for some reason. It must be a mental aspect lol

For me there is no rush, I am a grinder and expect to win every market that
I participate in.
if I do lose (and I do 7% of the time), stay on an even keel and get set for the next market on the exchange.

I usually take a longer look at my winners than I should. I often try to figure out what made me make that bet in that way. What was the thought process that lead to me making a trifecta bet instead of a win bet or exacta. See if I can figure out how to have that "right thinking" more often.

I am calculating win rates on a market by market. I lose a lot of bets in markets, that just the way it is. lets say I lay at 9.00 and I back at 11.00 the same horse. Thats only a 50% bet winning rates but a 100% market winning one. Its a winning market that is ALL that matters to me. Losing bets dont matter, only the end results matter. Making money is the key, not winning or losing bets.

I can sit here in my house and look at races all day and not bet much. But when I go to the local track I find myself just wanting to get a bet off. So I always keep the bet small, $5.00. Went to the track one after noon and when I got there, as usual, I wanted to bet. I look at a race at Santa Anita for about 20 seconds and think that G K Gomez has been on fire lately and is 8-1. I put my $5.00 to win on him and the horse wins. Of course, I'm happy as can be. I cash my ticket and am looking at the screen for Santa Anita and they show the winning jockey is E Gomez from Los Al. Got a good laugh at that one.

It is only natural to think "I could have had the super not just the tri" or "the pick 5 as well as the Pick 4" but i tbink if you've played long enough you will have a sense of equanimity as you also remember the times you loaded up on supers tris p4s p5s and got bupkus. More bets mean bigger risk to the bankroll and you have to find the right balance.
