Without having the pp's in front of me, I'm interested in Hit Show, who ran pretty well in the Derby and seems to be flying under everyone's radar.
Hasn't had a good trip since the Withers. Pedigree-wise it seems like 12f is doable. May get overlooked on the board also.

Forte
Hit Show
Il Miracolo
National Treasure
Prove Worthy
Raise Cain
Red Route One
Reincarnate
Sun Thunder
Tapit Shoes
Tapit Trice
Forte will surely be the likely favourite, maybe 9/5 or 2-1, then National Treasure at 2-1 or 5/2, followed by Angel of Empire at 3-1 or 7/2, and Tapit Trice 4-1 or 9/2, presuming they all run in this race.
These are just my quick thoughts. As I said, I am 100% bad at this morning line stuff, but it is always good to have some chatter about the favourites as well as the long shots heading into the draw!
The draw is Tuesday, June 6th. Post Position #1, followed by #3 and #5, will be the top posts everyone is wanting to get as these posts have won the most Belmont Stakes #1 with 23 wins, followed by #3 and #5 with 13 wins each.
Good luck, everyone!

you guys are optimistic with these lists
i'd be shocked if Arabian Lion ran in the Belmont.
Surprised if several others listed were to run.
hope I am wrong.
This genuine 'shock'(not just writing to be a smart ass) would be fun get me a little boost of energy. The main thing is it would be entertianing and worth handicapping if they somehow get a field like this.

Reincarnate is skipping the race to point for the Travers. Probably ought to set his sights lower (Oklahoma Derby?) to be perfectly frank...

Current listing at DRF, morning of 05/31
2023 Belmont Stakes possibles
************************************
Angel of Empire (Brad Cox, Flavien Prat) Last Race: Kentucky Derby, CD, 3rd
Arcangelo (Jena Antonucci, Javier Castellano) Last Race: Peter Pan, BEL, 1st
Forte (Todd Pletcher, Irad Ortiz, Jr.) Last Race: Florida Derby, GP, 1st
Hit Show (Brad Cox, Manny Franco) Last Race: Kentucky Derby, CD, 5th
Il Miracolo (Antonio Sano, Marcos Meneses) Last Race: Alw, GP, 1st
National Treasure (Bob Baffert, John Velazquez) Last Race: Preakness, PIM, 1st
Raise Cain (Ben Colebrook, Junior Alvarado) Last Race: Kentucky Derby, CD, 8th
Red Route One (Steve Asmussen, Joel Rosario) Last Race: Preakness, PIM, 4th
Tapit Shoes (Brad Cox, TBA) Last Race: Bath House Row, 2nd
Tapit Trice (Todd Pletcher, Luis Saez) Last Race: Kentucky Derby, CD, 7th
++++++++++++++++++
If eight of the ten start, that'd be nice. Field could use a foreign horse or two, or maybe another new shooter. This year's crop looks average at best at this point, which makes it a little more wide open.
I'm down a little on wagering after the first two legs of the Triple Crown, which is normal - and look to the Belmont to get ahead. Bet Hit Show in the Derby, and cashed a small saver exacta, and had National Treasure in the Preakness Futures and BES/Preakness doubles, but missed the vertical gimmicks.
My first thought is that Forte looks like the obvious key horse. So now we know who to toss.....

This is setting up to be the best race of the three. I hope we get an honest pace in here to see who really is the leader of the pack.

Arcangelo in the Belmont
Trainer Jena Antonucci confirms Arcangelo for the Belmont Stakes, provided he emerges well from today's work.“Right now, he’s extremely happy, and as long as his legs are tight and happy tomorrow, we’ll give him the opportunity."

Confirmed OUT horses:
Arabian Lion- Pointing to other stakes in the summer months or potentially in the Woody Stevens
Kingsbarns- missed a workout last week, which Pletcher said was a "bout of colic" It is considered a mild case; Pletcher just didn't want him not to be prepped and then shove him in the race to contend
Reincarnate- Pointing towards the Travers stakes in August at Saratoga
**Sun Thunder- Hearing that he will not run in the Belmont, but time will tell for this one

Not to rag on this crop too much, but if I go to Belmont that day it will be to see the Met Mile. That race looks like it's coming up as good as we could hope.

It really doesn't matter how many are in the Belmont and 8+ horses will be great, of course.
But Forte is lengths better than all of those expected to run and the rest of this field are running for smaller prizes only.

Forte could be that good compared to the rest of the probables for this one, however, he is far from anything but a guarantee to win the Belmont. Mage ran right with him in the Florida Derby and went on to throw in somewhat of a clunker at the Preakness! Forte's figures have been leveling off since his two year old season. He is a good bet against when you consider several of the improving horses that are slated to be in this race. Forte is most definitely not lengths better than many of the horses that he will be competing against.

That’s what I’m afraid of . It’s no deal if that happens . But at 2-1 or over he’s a win bet . I think he’s way better still . That Preakness was a joke . And Mage was dead tired just watching the stretch run . That’s why he’s out for months now . Saw the workout the other day he was full of himself , looked to do more. Pletcher has a great record in this race . If this horse gets in the gate he’s not there for the scenery . I’m not going to believe any of these horses are better until he’s beaten . Blazing Sevens and National Treasure have never run in the same zip code as him . Improving my ass , they crawled in the Preakness . I gotta see that again to believe it’s some big improvement. Bet against at your own peril because I don’t think they run Forte here without thinking he’s going to win . This is the one with the weirdest outcomes , but I don’t see it this year .
