C'mon be fair, Irsay got a discount if he agreed to use the moving vans in the overnight hours.

During a snowstorm. Was 17 years old, crushing. To this day I still root against the Colts. Even though I'm not a Ravens fan I'm happy to know they've won more Super Bowls than the Indy Colts.

The baseball season was about to start and my Detroit Tigers got off to the best 40 game start in the history of the game 35-5. And haven't won a World Series since.

I am still confused as Hell whenever the Browns play the Ravens.

Over the years since they moved I’ve referred to them as the Baltimore Colts a million times

this sucked because I like the colts and liked to go to Baltimore to watch games.
apparently I was about the only one though because this team didn't draw.
the last game I went to at memorial the 4-2 colts were playing the 4-2 bills, the winner (the bills 30-7) to move into sole possession of first place in the afc east. attendance was a pathetic 38,000 and change.

I thought this thread was going to be about Time For a Change taking down Dr. Carter and the undefeated Devils Bag. It may not have been today but it was March of 1984.

What was surprising is that he didn't move the team earlier. They threatened to move to Jacksonville and Memphis the previous two years and they were always blacked out I always had to listen to home games on the radio. Even the great teams of the mid-70s were blacked out most if not all of the time.

I seem to remember Irsay doing everything he could to not draw fans.
Do you remember that Colts home games started at 2pm instead of 1 because of a church law back then? My dad had season tickets (man I miss him some days) and my brother and I split up the second seat. Our aunt also went. When the product was decent, the stadium was filled as best as I remember. But I was a kid, so maybe not.

today we're in a ravens territory (despite it being mostly steelers fans) but back then the colts were rarely on and i too would listen to those chuck thompson broadcasts. i thought he was pretty good though.
