Iran survived sanction policy for 30 years prior to Trump.

What makes this different?

Sanctions have been significantly harder on Iran in the past.

Superb agreement...............for Iran.
Now Iran is saying they will resume building weapons and we have already spent our leverage. I'm not a mathematician but 6 years > 2 weeks.

Meanwhile Trump is asking foreign navies to police the seas. Tankers are being attacked. Drones being shot down. The President backing down from responding. And... Iran still isn't calling us.

Late Edit)

I'm sure this won't embolden the Iranians...

He still wants his splashy summit and a new pen pal...

because of different countries producing and selling oil products, the value of their oil exports is one third of what it was 5 years ago.

Like NATO, time for everyone to step up and take responsibility.
This is a good deal. Why should WE foot the bill ad take the risks?

The price of oil is irrelevant when you can't export it.

Sanctions are either working and the price of oil doesn't matter to Iran.

Or they aren't and the fact that oil is *checks notes* over 20% higher this year hurts Iran.

Your post makes no sense. Sanctions haven't worked in the past. They're unlikely to work now.

Because WE are the global superpower. WE are the ones that maintain order especially because WE benefit from that arrangement.

Why do you want to retreat and let others control the crucial strings to the global economy?

Let China take the South China Sea next?

Russia the Baltic and North?

You're proposing global retreat. Its the conundrum of the isolationist... they don't want us being responsible for everything... but boy do they get fired up when things don't go their way.

No veins bursting.

Just getting a kick out of you grasping at straws.

Let's try this again... Iran and China are strong allies... what could possibly go wrong with a increased PLAN presence in the gulf?

Trump just invited them. Agree/Disagree?

The USA is probably the lone super power right now. We are the lone economic power in the world. The lone one, mostly thanks to Trump.

What we are NOT --again, thanks to Trump's leadership-- is we are no longer the world's sucker and piggy bank.

YOU seem to want Trump to fail and for the US to retreat.

You truly are clueless on these matters.

We don't care if you live in your alt-world of hate Trump, total ignorance, naivety, and worse. We laugh at people such as yourself.

You really are jumping thru hoops in trying to pass off your silly --if not outright stupid-- false narratives.

But, you're biggest fault is .... you are so very obvious, so blatantly obvious.

You don't have the goods to offer a good debate or serious point of view.

Stay in your house at night, for your own safety.
