The Phils may have the 3 best starters in the NL but we have the 3 with the best first names:
Eldison
Bronson
Homer

Okay, that was great.

More please.

Thanx Dave for appreciating the humor.
The game tonight was soooooooooooo bad, I didn't know whether to cry or laugh at this Stooges-esque exhibition.
The Phillies scored 4 runs in 2 innings with 1 fricken hit (and it was a single).
How do you have 2 innigs where you hit 3 batters; walk a couple more & commit 3 errors.
When Bruce ran past the fly ball, I threw my grandmother at the TV.
She was so pissed, she threw the TV out the window.

I feel bad for bronson arroyo, the reds starter. He did his job and they ran around like keystone cops giving the game away

Sad day

That's the way the phils play. They must score more runs on fewer hits than any other team.

Sacrafice, walks, hitbAtters type strategy , since thay always "do it" makes for good baseburl.

thank you very much

Does anyone feel that Scott Rolen looks like he's in la-la land.
Besides looking like he's wielding a railroad tie rather than a baseball bat, his "Gold Glove" play at third is akin to 6-year olds playing tee-ball.
He throws to second to catch a speedy Chase Utley (who's already half-way there on the pitch), rather than the surer out at first. Plus, his glove looks like it's made out of cement.

WTF

Late response here, but although his post season was pitiful, Rolen is the best 3rd baseman i've ever witnessed.

Just needed to say it.....Congrats to Joey, and I cannot believe that Hamilton is gone.

Almost exactly a year ago........

I started this thread almost exactly a year ago today.

Well, The REDS Swept the Cards this weekend to take a 1.5 game division lead.

It brought them good luck last year.......so .....

Mark this day.......The Reds are in first place !! Again!!

reds - cards has recently become the most heated rivalry in baseball. From an outsiders view, it surpassed yanks - sawx, and giants- dodgers
