Why do you ignore all the other steps that can show up that process?
It is NOT as simple as you present it.
Unless you totally do not understand it.
More like it

Simple-mindedness comes naturally to some people.

Do mail-in votes require a stamp? If not, there is no postmark 'date' proving an on-time vote.

How about we all don a mask and vote normally?
Now there's a solution!

probably the best idea of all time.
but that would put things on a fair level playing field and take away some of the "rigged election" theory depending on the result.

Or we could just do what Texas did, and sent out close to a million mail in ballots that were pre-filled out, including the question, "Are you a American citizen?".

Delay the election?
Little thing called the constitution says otherwise.

if you want to vote you should wait in line just like they have been doing for many years now. i would get rid of the absentee ballot as well. if voting is important to you, then you make sure you are here for election day. if you have a busy district you need to have enough booths to service them.
when i voted every time, i waited up to an hour on a big election day. my precinct was in a school and they made great cookies and brownies to stuff my face with at the time. i used to vote in every election just to get the home made brownies.
not having mail ins will also make the election much easier to handicap.
the only reason why i wouldn't want to see the election delayed is because the bets that i have made on the election so far will become void due to in not taking place on the original date. other than that i would think delaying would be a fantastic idea so that there would be more participation.

Unless you're a constitutional scholar you aren't allowed to comment on the Constitution.

The Federalist Society the most arch conservative influential organization there is. The same ones that provide all the recommended nominees for judges, including the supremos
ALSO MENTIONED the constitution....
https://www.npr.org/2020/07/31/89772...-re-impeachmen
After voting for President Trump in 2016 and staunchly defending him in conservative publications, a Federalist Society leader appears to be having some very public buyer's remorse.
Steven Calabresi, co-founder of the powerful conservative legal organization, is now calling on the House of Representatives to do again what it has already done once this year:
impeach Trump.
Tom, bend over backwards as far as you can go, take a deep breath and kiss you Trumpite chimp ass bye-be

Since when did that document matter to any liberal? And besides, haven't you heard that the Constitution is a "living breathing" document that is designed to bend with the times.
