Length of Stretch
Does anyone know where to find the Length of Stretch for each Harness Track.
USTA does not have them. I called.
This knowledge is crucial for handicapping races and should be readily available but I can't find it. Also, I emailed various tracks and no one responds.

Many of those tracks are long gone....
And, many of those listed tracks have changed the stretch length and/or configurations since then as well...
If you are an ExpressBet player, you can easily find the lengths of the stretches for any given track, at the bottom of the main betting sheet...

This is what I'm using, but it needs updating.
Not sure of BigM stretch direction, they changed a while back.

This is probably as good as we can get right now. The USTA used to have the length of the stretch listed for each track on their website, but they've changed the format and it only lists the length or some tracks.
Note: Next month Yonkers will be going back to the shorter stretch. It used to be 440 feet and I believe it will be that again. Right now it's 660 feet, the longest for any half mile track.

Theese and more individual track data were published in the annual-no-longer-published USTA's Trotting and Pacing Guides.
The USTA offers a free download of the T&P for the current year 'some where' on their website. Whether the individual tracks data are included in the online version is unknown to me.
I downloaded a couple early on, and the table data didn't align properly in the conversion to PDF, thus I 76'd 'em.

USTA used to publish a yearly book called the Trotting and Pacing guide. It had length of stretch at all tracks. Track records at major tracks and fairs. Listed former winners of all big races. I stopped buying it years ago but always found it quite valuable. Oops just read Wilderness answer. Sorry.lol. What he said......
