HRC / 6th Gen RAN

RAN can be found in all parts of a pedigree so you’re NOT incorrect at all-what Stan is referring to when he states RAN SIRELINE (the ones that win a higher percentage of the derby’s) are found on the top line of the pedigree. It still can be found elsewhere in the pedigree- but it must always be on the very top line. In the case of HRC AND EQ-they have RAN in the pedigree, just not in the very top sireline

Essential Quality is a Bold Ruler sire line. There is no Raise A Native on the top line. He does have Raise A Native dam sire but that's not what's being discussed here. Bold Ruler might be the next best line to Raise A Native. A few Derby winning examples include Secretariat and Seattle Slew back in the day and most recently California Chrome.

Essential Quality does have the female family 1-x (La Troienne) which is the most successful in Derby. Hard to leave this one off the top of tickets.
