Just out -- August Building Permits 1419K, well ahead of the consensus of 1300K. In addition, August Housing Starts 1346K, ahead of the 1255K consensus. The former is a leading indicator for the latter. It appears that lower rates kicked the housing market back into gear during August.

Dow
While the overall market direction is still up, it looks to me like we may see a last quarter(2019) downtrend. Last October, we experienced a drawdown of over 3000 points thru December. Not that history means anything. Having said that, it looks like a possible big up day early next week. After we get this correction out of the market, next price target is 28,000; then 31,000 sometime early in the new administration. The politics of the day has created the most indecision I've ever witnessed in the markets.

S&P 500 trades at roughly 17x 2020 estimates. Therefore, it's hard to make the case that the market is penalizing anything, in my opinion.

Well, I like to hear from perennial bears to keep analyzing whether my outlook is still justified. It's the same way with politics, things get boring when it's all one way or the other. My short/long-term outlook while bullish, would go onto afterburner, should we sign some type of "real" trade agreement with China. I'd also want to invest a little more in China should that happen. It's miniscule at the moment. (edit): I wanted to also add some type of peaceful resolution in Hong Kong to the China deal.
I guess that puts me in the minority for bringing back the doom-n-gloom crowd.

Our beloved SFOR had news , popping the stock and making new millionaires of many of us.
Sadly, the PR reads like it was written by a scam artist
