All polls are voluntary response. You can answer the question honestly, you can lie, or you can tell the pollster to fork off.

P.S. I'd love to see some meaningful data on how often people lie to pollsters. But if you asked people about that, they would just lie to you.

No not at all, what I am saying the masses want nothing more with the Bush Brand. Traction out of SC is not for the six men to have, you name the casualties that will be in a week.

I agree that the Bush name is done on the presidential stage. However, blaming a president who is still much adored in SC for the lives of 3000 people is a bit much. Trump should not have gone there.

I agree, but he was still polling well in South Carolina the last time I looked.

It's REAL interesting to read some pretty left-leaning sites and watching them DEFEND TRUMP...that must sicken them...they are defending TRUMP for some of the things he said about GWB the other night and the things he said about the Iraq war...of course they HAVE to defend Trump because these are the things THEY believe...

It's HILARIOUS...they of course have to qualify their statements such as "I will never vote for him but..." or "He's a sexist, racist xenophobe...but..."

I mean, it's pure gold comedy.

If the issue is Trump versus Bush, there is no contest. Trump is a lot more liberal than the Satanic Bush, and even the moonbats on the left recognize that. Trump isn't liberal enough for the moonies, at least this year, but he is still head and shoulders over any real conservative in their eyes.

And who knows when Trump will change back into a Democrat again? They can always hope.

He is?? I live in SC. I am a republican in a strongly republican area. No one adores George Bush. Not one person. In fact, he is criticized for ceding the republican high ground on issues like reducing the deficit and small govt.

Typically Trump is over the top, but he delivers his message with at least a small amount of humor. On Saturday, he just seemed angry, almost unhinged. Maybe he just had an off night; I hope there are more such nights.

I wondered about this. Polling shows GWB has a very high approval rating (current rating of his term) in SC (around 70%). I'm skeptical of the 70% number.

I wonder if the high approval rating is a hair trigger reaction to Obama. "In comparison to Obama, Bush is great" sort of reflex reaction. Because I have to tell you, while he is light years more respected than Obama, he'd get slaughtered by Bush I and Reagan in head-to-head voting.

As I suspected, Rubio got a bounce from his excellent SC debate.

If he could get Bush and Kasich out of there, there would still be plenty of time for him to make a serious run at Trump.
