I'm no expert on works but it looked fabulous. Gave Dortmund's connections a case of Chromitis.

Six furlongs in 1:10.04; out seven furlongs in 1:22 4/5. So, pretty good.

They are starting to handle Dortmund like they aren't very confident. I know he missed a little time after the last race, but when are you going to get a better shot at Chrome than first race after this very long layoff? He has another prep scheduled in Dubai and the main event is the race after that. He almost can't be cranked 100% for this. Now he may win by default even if he's a bit short.

Yeah, I was kidding about the Chromotis, but I think the horse definitely has some issues. There is no reason to rush for a G2 in January, it is a long year. It is just disappointing from a horseplayer's perspective as happens more often than not these days.

Good horses are electrifying...and like electricity, take the paths of least resistance.
Watt the....?

Unfortunately the horse's great accomplishments were diminished by the clown who owned him. The tirade after the Belmont is right there with the worst sportsmanship I have ever see. He put the pin in the California Chrome voodoo doll.

What if I told you the partner that still owns him is the real clown? Martin's handling of this horse has been really, really bad.
This horse should have changed racing and breeding in California much more than it has. Basically the worst sellout I've ever seen, started out as a "came from nothing operation" and all they've done since is try to get away from the breeders, farms and fans that made them.
Steve Coburn had a bad day, no doubt, he was a total idiot but Perry Martin is a greedy prick, take that to the bank.

I am just glad to see a champion continuing to race.
Kind of rare these days.

Not only race but hopefully strut his stuff on the world stage again. It is very refreshing.
