Reports indicate that Scioto Downs exceeded $1 million in handle over the 12-race card.

With harness racing being paused continent-wide amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Scioto hosted the first card of harness racing since Cal-Expo last raced on March 31. The Ohio track will race twice more over the U.S. Memorial Day weekend, on Saturday (May 23) and Monday (May 25) as the only active Standardbred track in North America.

How did the ML maker set the #8 Poppy Draden N at 20-1 in the last race?

Had been running in conditioned races at Yonkers and had a so so qualifier from the 9 hole where she made up some ground in the stretch. Tonight she took over at the top of the stretch for leading driver Page and won at 3-1.

The announcer picked her to win. Good job.

I don’t really play Exacta or trifecta unless I note them.

i get it that sometimes people need more than 1 pick to a race, sometimes you make your picks early and see that the track is not playing well to where your horse is positioned or if the track is good for speed or not.

i like playing the Mountain because i can figure out after the first race what to expect for the next 5. its the only track like this in North America. most people will tell you that they need 2 or 3 races to figure out the bias, i only need 1. this year the mountain is starting off with only 8 races. i would have prefered more races and less cards if they had to.
