In winning the King Edward Stakes Gr-2, COURT OF THE REALM has now bankrolled over 300k in earnings while holding on to a five race win streak. Purchased for a mere 6k at KEESEP 2008, this son of POWERSCOURT proved he was for real, by gutting it out in the stretch over the good racehorses FIFTY PROOF and SOCIETY"S CHAIRMAN covering the grassy mile in 135.4. In his biggest test to date, he sat off the pace and overpowered foes to assume the lead at the 1/16 th pole and determinedly held off the fast closing Canadian stalwart FIFTY PROOF.
While I admit that I never touted the horse, I bet out on him at the last minute when I realized this horse has gotten dramatically better with each race and all without the using a drop of LASIX. Kudos to trainer Peter Berringer for a beautiful training job and massive ROI for the owners, Aurora Meadows and Oxbridge Farm.
