Good deal for somebody as long as they can get Wizards Forum access and the unlimited data package. Figure with taxes it was probably a little over $900 total.

Rumor was if you bought it second hand they make you jump through hoops for Wizards access, can anyone confirm that?

Not true! all you need is the original users confirmed email address so the license can be transferred to the new buyer. After that you can setup your unlimited downloads with wizards forum account.

Does anybody really win over the long term with Black Magic or ValueCapper?
I tried it and got many conflicting results, too many screens.
Very tough to get your purchased price back no matter how good you do with programs.
Sorry just my observation.

That's what I thought a yr or so ago when I bght it for the 1st time.
When you learn to look at certain screens in conjunction with ea other then the muddle becomes much more clear. I was all over the place the first time but 2nd time around after about 2 months I am well ahead.
Bu let's say I never get my cost back. I know people who spend much more on golf, fishing photography and other things. Horse racing is what I like to do. So profits are a bonus.
The secret is to watch ALL the training videos!

No software auto-magically makes anyone a winner. None. That is why I have posted many times that a user has to find a program or programs that he or she feels comfortable using. The more features a program has or the more information that is provided, the more time needs to be spent learning how to use it. Matt wrote that it took him a year or so to "get it". That probably included a lot of losses. But he believed in what he was doing and stuck it out. Most people give up after a month or two and then bitch that the software sucks, so kudos to him.
The reality is that software is a handicapping tool, nothing more. Black box software doesn't exist, or at the very least it is not for sale. But software can save time that can be used for making smart betting decisions which most people (including myself) are terrible at doing. Use a good software tool and learn how to make smart bets. And by good software I mean something that does what you want it to do in a way that doesn't frustrate you when you use it.
Just my 2 cents.

Hi Sandy,
I lost money hand over fist the first year I had Valuecapper, second year I basically broke even after paying for data, since then, I have made money. Certainly not enough to retire on or pay the bills but a healthy profit after data nonetheless. What Headhawg says is absolutely true, any software is just a tool, its up to the user to figure out how to make that tool work for them, sometimes a person just cannot get a software to work for them.

Great Answer
I have been in the game over 45 years and like everyone else I have good years and not so good years. This is a great sport and like all sports we win and lose, but enjoy the game.

For sale
I am out of racing completely for almost a year and looking to sell my Valuecapper software(have the dongle and will provide name in PM so you can check with Post Time Daily to verify I am legit owner).
Price $600 includes shipping to you. This is firm and not negotiable.
My best to everyone!
Richie
