Let em Shine.
Bold Statement time.
I dont want to say this is the fastest horse i've ever seen, but i can't remember seeing a horse who was able to go 21 to the quarter SO easily and just canter in untouched. Usually if you go that fast, you get tired, but this horse seems to be able to go unheard of fractions and just keep cruising like he hasnt even taken a deep breath.
Breeders Cup Sprint favorite?

I don't ever wanna be the early BrCup favorite...not in March anyway.
Delauney has been fantastic at FG, but he's been beating the same guys basically...wanna see what he does in the big sprints...Carter, CD Hcp, True North etc...
The CD Hcp would seem to be the next logical target

Didn't mean to turn this into a Delauney thread...my bad.
Didn't see the race you are talking about...was this a FTS?

You'd rather be 8th choice?

No, 3rd time starter. He was a good 3rd as a FTS and won his previous start before today. Been ultra impressive in his last 2 starts, worth watching on tape. He raced today at SA in Race 2 and his previous start was Jan 19th Race 2 at SA.

What i meant was that i'd rather not be peaking in early spring if the BrCup is the goal...ofcourse any outfit will take the wins when they come.
My plan would be to run in the CD Hcp on Derby day (vs what i expect will be far tougher than the FG bunch) and then give him a break and return in Sept and prep a few times for the big one.

I hear you, but sprinters seem to hold together pretty well racing regularly with good spacing. I'm not a fan of the mid-year layoff.

We will find out a little about Delaunay as his personal whipping boy, Gantry, tries Gr3 foes at Kee in the Commonwealth

Gantry ran pretty well to hold 2nd at a distance that's just too far for him and over poly for the first time.
Anxious to see what Delaunay can do away from FG
