Gulfstream race 8 Sunday 3/3

Check out the ride on #7 Bad to the core at Gulfstream today. He closed in the stretch to get the lead then the jock seems to stop going with him and let the horse get beat. He just held the reins and stopped asking the horse for anything and just gets beat at the wire.

It seemed like the jockey was channeling his inner Kent Desormeaux

It looked to me like with all the bumping in the stretch, Hernandez was trying to keep from lugging in any more and hold a straight line.

Double objections and a general stewards inquiry. 5th place, the 8,against 1st place the 1, and unplaced #9 against 2nd place the #7. They ended up taking down the 4, who placed 4th. The 4 came out and things pin balled from there.
