Since you said most, it is easily the left, as they dominate the media in sheer numbers. Once someone up the food chain lies, the lie gets parroted. Mayor Pete who probably could not even operate a child's train set, blamed safety regulation roll backs under Trump for the East Palestine Ohio train crash.
That lie was repeated thousands of times on left leaning news sources.
The stated roll back was related to braking systems on hazardous material hauling tanker cars. It was found an axle bearing failure caused the derailment. ECP brakes would have not prevented the crash or lessened the damage.
