I saw a little bit of Williams late in his career not in his heyday. Im thinking if the shift was banned then he might average very close to .400.

Luka Doncic this past Tuesday had the most incredible triple double in history - 60 points, 21 bounds, 10 assists

and not just that - take a look at this dude's stats - his 2 point % for this year is .591 and for his career is .550

that's higher than that of WILT CHAMBERLAIN___________________ (career)

unreal - totally

I'm so very, very lucky that I got to see Sonny Jurgensen play so many times

a true Master

I got to meet him once - a warm, friendly, charming guy - no star persona at all

he's 88 now - still kickin'

here's to you Sonny

Used to enjoy him doing color commentating on the Redskin radio broadcasts,
he retired from that just a few years ago. Any time I hear him mentioned I instantly think single bar face mask.

I once got to ride in a 30-minute each way round-trip car ride with Pistol Pete Maravich. Such a thrill. I think he was the biggest change in basketball. He set the scoring records in college with no 3-point line, no shot clock and no freshman varsity players. Amazing.

Head Coach Ron Rivera didn't even know the Commanders could be eliminated from the playoffs if they lost yesterday to the Browns

when a reporter asked him if he would start the 3rd string QB if they were eliminated - he replied:

"We could be eliminated?"

this is too pathetic for words

and the Commanders are eliminated - largely thanks to him and Carson Wentz - one of the worst DC QBs of all time

Come on man, he is a highly intellectual great coach. The team formally known as the Redskins had a tie on their record, that eliminates needing to worry about all the NFL tie breaking scenarios in regards to the team making the play-offs. A genius like Ron Rivera then wouldn't be challenged trying to figure out play-off scenarios, so he didn't.

He is nothing but an average HC at best, strangely overrated. I think his fame was having Cam Newton in his prime.

in Martin Scorcese's Raging Bull Jake LaMotta (Robert DeNiro) screams out at Sugar Ray Robinson:

YOU NEVER GOT ME DOWN RAY - YOU NEVER GOT ME DOWN

this is the clip of their 6th and final fight - Sugar Ray couldn't knock down the tough as nails LaMotta

but he got his only knockout of the series - by TKO - the ref stopped it in the 13th round

Sugar Ray looks totally exhausted towards the end of the fight

despite all the beatings he took LaMotta kept kickin until he finally succumbed at age 95 in 2017 - r.i.p. little dude

I cannot believe any young man not wanting a muscle car back in the day, nothing like getting 4.5 MPG during the odd/even gas rationing. Fortunately I had a friend who worked in a junk yard and got me spare plates that matched my make and year. I only drove out of sight to change them. I had a 409 but in number only, it was a 396 bored out to 409. I had a Chevy Impala, but that just had a dyno tested 450hp 327 in it. I probably could have paid cash for my first house if I drove a VW Bug between the ages of 16-20. I blew up more engines than I could count.

a look back at one of my all time faves - the amazing Pistol Pete - so much fun to watch this dude

at 4:12 he hits the most amazing outside shot I've ever seen in my entire life - at 3:51 he makes Celtics Hall of Famer Dave Cowens look really, really bad - it's comical - enjoy

the great Muhammad Ali had all he could handle with the Canadian George Chuvalo

he beat Chuvalo twice on points but never knocked him down

after the first fight Ali spend the night in the hospital - he was pissing blood

he called Chuvalo "the toughest guy I ever fought"

Chuvalo was never knocked down in 93 fights and also fought Frazier and Foreman

at 2:50 in the vid he gets to Ali pretty good but can't knock him down

I would hate to see the punch count on that fight if they had it back then.
Chuvalo blocked a lot of punches with his face. Unreal a guy who fought that way is still alive at 85.

Henry Cooper and Joe Frazier knocked down the great Muhammad Ali.

Cooper lost the fight anyway

Frazier won that fight but lost the other 2 to Ali
