Dr John Rest in Peace

Good old Mac Rebennack, glad I was able to see him a few times.

My Dr. John story

Lined up to see him play at a small club in San Francisco in the fall of 1986.
Took some Irish friends of mine I was staying with who had never heard of him.

The problem with the club was that it was too small.
Staff came out to the line we were in and, several places ahead of us,
made a cut off point where maximum capacity had been reached.
No Dr. John for us that night.

Great musician who loved what he did.
Rest in peace.
