My fear is that this was too few (especially the owners) of those that are using "extraordinary" measures to train their horses. If you want to find those trainers that aren't using drugs, look to those that have 0-20 horses in their care and have a .00 to .13 win percentage. I know he is the golden boy, but how is Baffert not ending up in this mess. All of those horses in his care dropping from "heart attacks" weren't a coincedence. I'm heartbroken. I really loved Maximum Security coming in to the Derby. To taint the greatest event that this sport has to offer, reprehensible.

Good point.
Maybe it should be that ONLY track vets can take care of horse on the grounds. You want your vet, you leave the track and go home, and stay off the track for 90 days minimum.
We are looking at an industry that can't say for sure when they cut the balls off of a racehorse, FCS, and we want them to protect us from drugging trainers? Intelligence is not running rampant on the tracks in America. This is a good ole boy game, through and through. Not fit to handle gambling.

I 100% agree with Margie on this; yes, I know - it's the world turned upside down but it's that kind of a day from the news out there.

The thing that is truly disheartening is that there are some legitimate people that really care about the horses and care about this sport and at the very least, they have been hurt immensely by these people or at the worst, driven away from this sport all together.

LOL. 2 out of a 100 plus is lip service, especially when the kings still live.

Multiple reports but I can't confirm yet but I believe Rene Allard was arrested today.
For the t-bred folk he was a major harness juicer.

Disturbing to no end.
And how does Yonkers allow this to happen ?
How many other tracks just don't care ?
Cohen: What’s going on with the Allard death camp?
Grasso: (Laughter) well I didn’t get anymore emergency calls yesterday so I am assuming…
Cohen: Assuming the number stopped at 7?
Grasso: Well yeah
Cohen” How many died?
Grasso: Three
Cohen. Jeez. What were you thinking?
Grasso: Three or two maybe.
The pair continue to discuss the situation before wrapping up:
Grasso: …One of them just died on the table they just cut him open and poof it died.
Cohen: Holy f–k did they do an autopsy?
Grasso: Their heart rate was like triple they were breathing real heavy their membranes were going f-ing purple.

There is no stable on the grounds now at almost every harness track. Everyone is on private training farms so the tracks would have no way to know about this type of thing.
