It appears NY Wagering Board has approved the Jackpot pick 6. Any thoughts ?

The ONLY time to play any of these crappy jackpot bets is when there is a mandatory payout.

I think I h3ard NYRA has no plans to implement this.
Maybe on HRRN this weekend?

If NYRA put $10/20k in the pick 6 pool every Saturday (free money), carryover or not, would the NYRA make money or lose money on this in the long run? It definitely would bring attention to the pool/circuit while offering an incentive to handicap/play their races.

I disagree. I don't play the jackpot bets often but if you've got 2 or 3 live horses that you can't necessarily get into a pick 3 or 4 sequence the .20 pick-6 is a nice option to have.

wouldn't the regular pick 6 be a better option? You wouldn't have to be the only ticket and could still make 5 figures
