Mattis was an obstacle to Trump’s desire to pull troops out of Syria and Afghanistan. The abrupt way Trump announced his apparently one-man decision was was not smart.. The withdrawal of ground troops is sane, and Mattis was and is a large problem. And, for good or ill, Trump — not Mattis — was elected president.
We will see how the cookie crumbles.

Face it, the country's being dictated to by whoever gets in Trump's ear last. He's like a 5-yo child who deliberately does what his elders tell him not to do.
