officer Kim Potter found guilty

of manslaughter.

in my mind the only thing she was guilty of was being a dope. most cops are either thieves or morons. this is nothing new with the police. she had a rotten lawyer which proves out how dopey she is and probably the police association she belongs to.

this in no way was a good or fair verdict. now there are 2 victims along with society because we still need law enforcement and this is going to scare the good ones away from the profession and there are a few good ones even today.

We do not have as many police who are worth their salt, a cop who is and maintains weapons retention skills does not pull the trigger just to embarrass themselves and everyone around them. Hacks at high level inside departments promote those with lesser skills because that is how they gained rank. I am not one to know everything about law, but I have some knowledge about people and who is a cross section of our country.

Did she and her lawyers enter the courtroom today expecting a not-guilty verdict? My guess they were, as with most guest lawyers on news programs. When found guilty. where was the emotion she exhibited during her testimony. I saw nothing...a wife and mother heading to prison.
I agree her lawyers failed her and were miserable, however, the prosecution
merely needed to press the facts. Once the human emotional element is removed (as it should), she's guilty as outlined by law.
I too had thought up till today she was being unfairly tried as your typical dangerous criminal might be. The evidence and cold hard facts should be the decisive factor, not the quality of the individual outside the box.
That all said, I believe the jury got it right and justice was served. Any other defendant would be expected to be treated equally with a similar outcome.
Police officers actually might he held at a higher standard due to training and experience. You'd think your every-day moron committing a similar crime might only receive the 2nd degree charge. His/her recklessness is more common to the charge, she's suppose to know much better.

She’ll probably get 8-9 and serve half that. She should consider herself lucky she’s a woman.

We will have to compare that term to what Baldwin gets for killing his person behind the camera.

I suspect they will appeal and win because of some things the judge said and did.

Apples and oranges. Baldwin won’t serve a day in jail.

Dave is right

No criminal intent.

At the most reckless handling of a firearm if that’s an option

Are you implying Kim Potter had criminal intent?

the prosecutors confused jury by changing MN definitions of negligence with recklessness

A MN lawyer who watched most of trial explains it
