It looks like the "&" pertains to horses with races outside the U.S. The CT horse raced in Chile. Then I looked in my BC day data file and found the "&" for several overseas horses as well.

Thanks! I guess technically that's outside the US and Canada. Not sure about Mexico. I don't know if they still have racing in Mexico since Agua Caliente closed.

this data has only 3 characters...

HTR Forum says its Field 109 in HDW DATA

Dont know if Bris list new changes or doesn't care to.....

Not sure I understand your question. There are 1435 data elements (columns) loaded for each horse. You have to know which element number is which to use them.

All of those weights are weights carried or to be carried. They are all approximately 120 pounds, give or take 6 or more.
