Thanks! I guess technically that's outside the US and Canada. Not sure about Mexico. I don't know if they still have racing in Mexico since Agua Caliente closed.

Thanks. Those still don't document all of the data elements.

Not sure I understand your question. There are 1435 data elements (columns) loaded for each horse. You have to know which element number is which to use them.

436- 445 Winner's Weight carried NUMERIC 999 3

446- 455 2nd Place Weight carried NUMERIC 999 3

456- 465 3rd Place Weight carried NUMERIC 999 3

466- 475 Winner's Margin NUMERIC 99.99 5 ( 0 if DeadHeat )

476- 485 2nd Place Margin NUMERIC 99.99 5 ( 0 if DeadHeat )

486- 495 3rd Place Margin NUMERIC 99.99 5 ( 0 if DeadHeat )

496- 505 Alternate/Extra Comment line CHARACTER 200 (includes "claimed from" text & misc. other comments)

506- 515 Weight NUMERIC 999 3

Since column 55 is included in the horses information(birth date, color, etc) one (me) would assume that is what his weight at birth, but that is probaby not the case given the way these files are set up

All of those weights are weights carried or to be carried. They are all approximately 120 pounds, give or take 6 or more.
