The White House lost. The Judge issued the narrowest possible ruling he could while obeying precedent. To further litigate is stupid and per Sanders it would appear the WH will take this ruling and settle...

But the DC Circuit specified "bona fide Washington journalists". Trump needs to quit trying to win a battle of wits with Acosta and have one of his attorneys file a motion showing that Acosta doesn't qualify under that criteria.
The fireworks would be a lot more fun than what is happening now.

Trump and staff are making their rules
and in the future, until rules made, Trump will just stop and leave the pressing if things get out of hand.

You have no idea what the definition of assault is. Assault is striking or touching a person in a harmful or offensive manner. Moving a persons arm a few inches is not assault. Assault must have a criminal intent. What was Acosta's criminal intent? Asking Trump a question that Trump is not smart enough to answer? In that case every reporter in Washington is guilty of a crime.

Jim Acosta is guilty of constant non-professional journalistic decorum, protocol, integrity, mindfulness of other journalists, rudeness, disrespectful behavior at all WH Press Conferences, to both the POTUS and WH Spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders......Sanders deserves none of Acosta's behavior whatsoever, period..

The White House Press Room is a public place. It is not Trump's home. His home is The Residence which is upstairs. Trump would have every right to throw any reporter out of the Residence. He has no right to throw a reporter out of the Press Room.
For almost two years, Trump has been disrespecting the Office.
