I think I should be able to get credit for a win in the 9th at Gulfstream on Sunday. My post # was 75 on Sunday's thread.

I had the horse Dame Marie which won and paid 16.00 and 7.00.

I inadvertantly put #1 (which was the post position) rather than horse # 2, but did identify the horse by name. Based on rule 12, since I did identify the name of the horse, I believe it should count.

Hi Doug,

You are correct about the rules and you will receive credit for this play. The correction will be incorporated in to the next Standings Update published late Wednesday night or the very early hours of Thursday morning.

A quick note to ALL --> Situations like this one (where the listed horse's name and listed saddlecloth number are not in agreement) will almost always be scored incorrectly, and the error will need to be pointed out by the poster. The reason for this is that the manual data entry process is very time consuming, and thus only the saddlecloth number is entered (and not the horse's name). The benefit of putting the horse's name in your selections post is that when it is scored incorrectly, it makes it easy to give you credit such as in Doug's case above.

I did not realize this was part of an entry, and the racing channel did not show any scratches because the 2B still ran.

The corrected results will be shown in the next Standings sheet which should be posted in about 30 minutes.

Please also note that 52 players are now eligible for prizes and contest award points. If this total were to remain unchanged (which it is almost certain to get larger), the person in 20st place would get 470 award points, which those 21st and lower would get the minimum participation amount of 200 award points. If the total number of eligible players grows to 55, 60, or 65, the minimum participation award points of 200 would not apply until a number lower than 20th place. If I am not mistaken this contest is ending a week from Sunday? This is actually a great exercise. I have failed miserably and it is due to any lack of discipline. Instead of handicapping 10 or 20 races and cutting it down to 3 races with most likely winners and/or best possible value I pretty much plow forward with the next available race and if a horse I like is too low odds wise I force the issue with a longer priced horse. Recently I have been trying to just not have a super fav and bet lower priced ones but am still bombing out. Anyway great job with the contest. It ain't over till it's over. (I think it is over for me)

I think there is too much money under my winnings. I searched the forum for my posts and calculated it to be $62.60 for win and $54.90 for place after 30 plays which includes presidents day. While I can use all the help I can get, I don't want what I haven't earned. Thanks Bob

Hi Bob,

A couple of things have come up, so have have not been able to update the Gapfire contest for Monday's plays, and the Ridersup for Sunday and Monday. Hopefully by the end of tonight (Wednesday) all will be caught up.

As to your specific situation, I'll take a look, and hopefully within the next 24-48 hours both of us will be in agreement.
