The Blood-Horse is reporting that California Chrome's owners are strongly considering accepting an invitation to run in the $1.9M Champions Cup in Japan on December 7th. Would you like to see him go? If he does, you'll be able to watch and wager at www.TVG.com

If I'm not mistaken that carries a million dollar bonus to a Kentucky Derby winner who runs there. I could be wrong but I remember them mentioning this before.
If that's the case, book them a flight because they will be there.

they have done a pretty good job of milking the derby win for everything they can...i like this horse and his connections but it seems like a money grab with all of this stuff with very little concern for the meal ticket

First hes not going but if he was he would be a huge bet against. They run on sand there not much dirt, he would be pounded in the american pools and high odds in the japanese pools.

I thought the desire to travel with a horse was something that most horsemen/horse players respected; not something to be laughed at or ridiculed, as is done by some. Who really knows for sure what the motivation to travel or not with any horse really is, anyway?
Damned, if you do, and damned, if you don't, I guess.
I'm glad that CA Chrome is not going to Japan...They don't deserve to have him (or any of our horses) there, IMO!
