Prominent in Speed Demons are two column ratings:
B3PST and DPWR
B3PST = Proprietary rating of horse's recent running positions
DPWER = Another proprietary Power Rating
I use B3PST for sprints--DPWR for routes.
See how GGF does today using those ratings:
GGF BPST TOP RATING SPRINTS
2ND HULA KING 12-1
4TH DOGGY DREAMS 3-1
8TH MORNING ADDICTION 8-1
9TH IKE BUTTE 10-1
GGF DEMON POWER TOP RATED ROUTES
1ST CIRCULODEGANADORAS 8/5
3RD FAR WEST 6-1
5TH MANGO TANGO 7/2
6TH NOBLE CONTESSA 3-1
7TH DESCARTES 12-1

Since Parx is dark today...TUP will have to do. Couple price horses on the bet menu:
RACE 3 TEN CARAT ROCK 15-1
These "b' type races [non-winners BEFORE a certain date] are made for layoff horses looking for an easy spot. After a 4 year layoff, this one looks ready to win. Top rider Vergara stays aboard seals the deal.
RACE 8 TANAGER 10-1
Hasn't won in a couple years-but don't let that sway you . 3rd off layoff, hot jock Da Silva takes the mount...that .35f flat workout adds to the appeal.

I hit the board with my longshot picks probably 5X more than I win...and that's not even unusual. One thing is...make sure there aren't other trainers out to pull some slick stuff, themselves.
The winner LINEMANS CHECK lost his last two by 25 lengths, didn't go down in class today, was 19-1, then 22-1 last two, yet today goes off at 5/2 and wins by daylight.
Such is life, when betting the horses. I'm sure you have come to that conclusion yourself, Sharkey

A ex box with the 2 selections in the 1st got you a small payoff:
$2 Exacta (2-1) Paid $17.40
...beats getting squat for your trouble

ONWARD AUSTIN
.
Anyone see that 5th race at Tampa today? I once read [Ainslie, I think] a trainer was subject to be summoned to the Secretary's Office to explain his horse's stunning reversal of form.
If that still holds--this guy may soon be doing some explaining. Back in 10 days, AUSTIN' rocketed to a 3 length lead, maintained that gap throughout on a firm hold.
You really had to see it, to realize how this horse dominated--and paid 💲78.40 to win.
This is one longshot I can honestly say--no way in hell I could have bet this horse:

EXOTIC BETS COMP REPORT SPOT PLAY
One last thing about ONWARD AUSTIN...I didn't mention he was also going UP in class today.
The reason I even watched the race is because I had this spot play on the runner-up in that race.
Using the Exotic Bets Comp Report, look for:
*Any listed horse ML 4-1 and up
*Horse is Top Power [PN1]
*Horse is Top T/J% [TJ%-1]
No need to explain the logic behind that spot play.
That runner-up in the Austin' race at Tampa was 8-1 ML and Top Power and T/J....but went off at less than even money.
Our resident Aussie said "Everything wins at Parx". It's true

I see no cause of explaining here....
Races 2-3-4 had excuses...
He was a early horse that got a clear and easy lead....
