Never seen anything like it.

Well said.
When he was running by Gun Runner in the stretch, he made GR look like a midget. A beautiful, magnificent thoroughbred.
And just a year ago, he hadn't even ran a single race. And oh by the way, he is now the richest racehorse in American racing history (maybe world) as he has now banked over $17 Million in less than a year of racing.
An incredible story for sure.

After that break, I said to myself, we're either going to see an absolute legend in the making, or another case of "oh well, that's racing."
Game, set and match.
I may have to update my avatar here...and that's saying something.

I thought he was the best I've ever seen before the race. I know he is now.

Right with you CJ.
Every time I've seen him race, he takes my breath away, and I always say wow, did that just happen? And yet, he does it again. Travers, to BC, to Pegasus, to this...?
We've all seen great horses, but this freaking guy is special. Really special.

I'm 37 years old, I'm going through the horses of my time to find something comparable. Thus far I've got nothing.
This would have to be the first time in my days that I feel 100% in saying noone that I've ever seen could have beaten this horse on this day. Noone.
Unreal. He looked like he wasn't even all out and he was passing horses like a blur.

On the replay, 400 meters from home, most mortal horses flatten out and have nothing left, this guy draws off and wants more. It's a shame we will never see this horse run a mile and half on the dirt. He is the best race horse I have seen run in my 40 years of following racing. Baffert looked in shock that he won.

watching the slo-mo camera on Baffert when Arrogate crosses the wire, you see him shaking his head and saying "I can't believe...".
None of us could Bob.

After playing catchup the entire race I kept waiting for him to flatten out, and thought that by the time he got to Gun Runner, there might be a decent chance Gun Runner could hold him off. Um, no.
